“Mi Camino Positivo” (title translated as My Positive Journey) is a heartfelt book by Dominican author Cesarina Benavides, filled with stories and reflections from her life experiences.
I had the privilege of illustrating these moments, bringing her words to life with a gentle, personal touch, as if the images were entries in her own diary.
Each illustration was crafted by hand using watercolors, aiming to capture the warmth and intimacy of her reflections. Afterward, the artwork was digitized to maintain the hand-drawn essence while enhancing details and some colors for the final print layout.
Editorial design was led by Ianko Selig and published through Termina tu Libro, a Dominican partnership publisher. It was a meaningful project that united visual storytelling with Cesarina’s poignant life insights, creating an inviting and reflective reading experience.
